Monday- I shuffled and recovered from Germany.
Tuesday- I explored one of the parks in Rome. and shuffled.
Wednesday- I went to visit St. Paul outside the walls, one of the four Papal basilicas, and then explored around that area, including Eataly, an authentic Italian food chain that I first encountered in Chicago. Afterwards, I took a brief trip to Egypt (only kidding some uppity Roman thought it necessary to make his tomb a pyramid) and then went to a supermarket with Fascist era mosaics, another item on the "Random ten things to find in Rome" list.
In case you haven't figured it out, we've left the church by this point. I also shuffled on Tuesday!

Thursday- Shuffled my way home after work
Friday- Tour of the Scavi (underground tombs of St. Peter's) and then went to the other extreme and climbed to the cupola (dome) of St. Peter's, with a stop in the middle in the basilica immediately after. Also shuffled.
Saturday- Today I completed the week with a trip to Castel Gandolfo, summer house of the Pope and home to some pretty superb scenery. When I returned to Rome I went to the Villa Borghese and the museum within these gardens just outside of the city walls. Definitely missing the green of home, so this week has provided some of the open space and clean air that Rome lacks in comparison to Maine.

Got to give them credit: bike wheel chained, just unscrew the rest of the bike and buy a new tire |

Again, I love your perspectives.
